Hi, Im Vanessa
I’m a Registered Naturopath and Nutritional Therapist specialising in hormones, gut health, and the impact of stress and trauma on the body. My approach weaves together naturopathy, functional nutrition, and nervous system support, with ongoing training in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr Gabor Maté.
My path here began with my own healing journey. In 2012, I opened my own yoga studio and, on the surface, I looked like I was thriving. But by 2014, burnout and a parasite infection while travelling in India brought my health crashing down. What seemed like “just physical” symptoms revealed something deeper, the effects of long-term stress and unresolved childhood trauma.
Food was my first medicine. Healing my gut showed me the power of whole, natural foods and the body’s innate ability to restore itself. But food alone wasn’t enough. To truly heal, I had to learn how to regulate my nervous system, release old patterns, and build a new relationship with myself. I went on to train as a Naturopath and Naturopathic Nutritionist, grounding myself in nature’s wisdom and the science of food as medicine.
Today, I bring this blend of experience and training to those who feel stuck, depleted or disconnected from themselves. My work is here to support you in finding balance, restoring vitality, and coming home to yourself with compassion and curiosity. What I’ve come to understand is that healing isn’t about “fixing” what’s broken. It’s about creating safety in the body, and reconnecting with the essence of who we truly are.
